Eva Welsher is a nationally ranked Senior Pro Pickleball player, coach, and two-time Honorary Chairwoman of the Minto US Open Pickleball Championships (2024 & 2025). A proud resident of Naples, Florida—the Pickleball Capital of the World, Eva is recognized both for her competitive success and her contributions to the sport's growth.
A former Division I tennis player at Northwestern University, Eva discovered pickleball later in life, after her son left for college and a close friend encouraged her to try something new. What began as a casual game quickly turned into a calling. She picked up a paddle in her 50s and hasn’t looked back since. Pickleball brought renewed purpose, focus, and community—and Eva has become one of its most passionate ambassadors.
Today, she competes as part of the APP (Association of Pickleball Professionals) and coaches players of all levels in her free time, sharing a wealth of experience and a deeply personal connection to the sport. Her coaching is grounded in discipline, precision, and a desire to help others find the same joy and confidence she’s found on the court.
